For three years George worked at the Office of Information Technology Help Desk as a technology assistant, providing technological support to all members of The College of Wooster campus. He became so popular that students sought him outside the Help Desk for additional assistance with their technological inquiries and troubleshooting.
After arriving in Austin, TX in November 2011, he began working at Charles Schwab as a Technical Analyst. In December 2014, George received an award, 2014 Help Desk Institute (HDI) Analyst of the Year for the Greater Austin Area. Later on he was promoted to Business Process Analyst at the firm in August 2016. By February 2019, he began a new adventure in product and software development as a Project Coordinator in Digital Capabilities and Practices. As of October 2019 he is serving as a Project Manager for the Technology Culture, Talent & Change team to advocate + drive for consistent organizational change management experiences with a focus on communications content development.
Since 2015, George has served as a co-chair of the Schwab Austin Pride Employee Resource Group
. He also served as the Marketing and Communications Creator + Coordinator for the 2019 Digital Workplace Summit. Due to the success of the event from the highly engaging media campaign, George was honored with a Spot award in April 2019. He received a Spot award in May 2020 for developing content and collaborating with various support groups to enable the firm to effectively and efficiently use the firm’s remote technologies.
